A bill that would ben flavored vaping products
and online sales in 50 states will come to the house floor for a vote on Thursday, Feb
27th. Find out more on this edition of Ruthless Insider. Hello and
welcome to another edition of Ruthless Insider. House bill HR 2339 also known as the Reversing
the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act – was introduced almost a year ago by Democratic representatives
Frank Pallone of New Jersey and Donna Shalala of Florida. Vaping360 described HR2339 last
April as quote “a bill designed to destroy the vaping industry”. While it would leave
some vapor products made by tobacco companies on convenience store shelves, virtually 0
independent vaping businesses would be able to survive if the bill becomes law. The bill
has 126 co-sponsors, but to pass the house, a bill needs 218 votes. With a huge last-minute
push, the Pallone bill can be stopped. If every member of the house got a thousand emails
from advocates opposing this bill, we would have a chance. Which begs the question, can
vapers organize quickly enough to convince a half-million people to participate in the
call to action in just four days? If you would like to email your house member to oppose
HR 2339, please follow the link below to take action today. Will you be taking action to keep this bill
from passing? Do you think that we have a chance to stop it from passing to the senate?
